Proposal

There I was
standing by the sea
all dressed in white
with a red rose in hand
and love in my heart

I reached out my hand to her
and pulled her closer
close enough for her to read my thoughts
and so her heart softly melted
when I kissed her forehead
and bend on one knee, saying,
"How about we make a cute little bedtime story for our kids about how I proposed to you?"

Happy New Year 2015

Dear Bloggers & friends...

My Sincerest Greetings.

I have no words to wish you on this new year. I believe this poem would fit well:

“What if you get most of what the eye sees?
what if love came in seeds?
what if we plant them and they grow trees?
what if they form hearts instead of leafs?
what if hate was to freeze?
what if there was no honeybees?
what if your heart stops when you sneeze?
what if the evil uses the word please?
what if we get down on our knees?
what if we pray to the creator of the earth, heavens ,and seas?
what if the heartless bleeds?
what if the poor needs?
what if the wealthy and greedy feeds?
what if the illiterate reads
what if hearts had keys?
what if we aim for our dreams?
what if we do all good deeds?
what if the only brew was teas?
what if we all wore white tees?
what if we could accomplish some of these?
WHAT IF ?”
― Youns Hussein

What if we change self and change others
What if we build a beautiful world for the generation next
What if, together we make this dream come true!!!

So Wishing you all success and content in all that you do and become.
I assure you my prayers for you and for your family.

Wishing you a wonderful,  meaningful and challenging year 2015.

With Love and Prayers

MY MAIDEN VOYAGE TO NORTH INDIA – PART II

Nothing can disturb my slumber, never again! Except the fact that in case I didn't get down at Jhansi station because I overslept forgetfully. Alas! But these groundless questions had nothing to do with my sleep, since I had confirmed it the previous day more than thrice I could remember like the rhyme learnt by an LKG kid. The response from the TTR added music to my ear, “Day after tomorrow”. It’s confirmed and I don’t have to panic for the next 24 hours and so I slept serenely.
It was dawn and I know it for sure due to the constant rooster alarm by the pantry workers bellowing, ‘Garam Chaay’, ‘Vadaa’, ‘Samosa’ etc early in the morning. It was irritating in the beginning, but later my inquisitiveness made me to open my eyes, just to ensure what’s happening around. Everything seems to be usual- Same People! Same luggage and it’s still there safe and sound. What more valuable reasons do you need to sleep once again, and I did sleep indeed!

MY MAIDEN VOYAGE- TO NORTH INDIA

The moment my steadfast mind digs into any part or clue that relates to the year 2005, it narrows down to this one particular incident that has a left a deep impact in my heart. Yes, it was 4th January, 2005 and I know that for sure. How would you ever forget your first day in an express train that too your maiden trip to North India? My curiosity precedes my fear after hearing bundles of advices and prejudices about North India and North Indians. For instance, “Never step out of a train”; “Never trust anyone, or else they may kidnap you, cut your limbs, make you beg” etc. It happened a decade ago and I do have the right to fear, Haven’t I?

SWOT Analysis - A Key to Success

The world we live in has changed drastically in the recent years; both in building and in destroying the human lives. We too are a part of it either the former or the latter. “The two most important days are the day you are born and the day you find out why?” says Mark Twain. But how many of us are truly finding the latter part? Not many. Just imagine how our life would be if compared to a journey. Travelling with all green signals, without any hurdles will make our journey swift, but not in safe hands. To travel safe, we need few red signals, few speed breakers on the way. Yes, we live our life as if there is no death at all. We do things without knowing the sole purpose.

“NOW I KNOW WHAT I DID NOT KNOW BEFORE”

My experience of the First ever YCS YSM National Convention at Bhopal, May 2014.

“I am part of all that I met in my life”

It is with immense pleasure and with wholehearted gratitude that I am penning down my experience in the first ever YCS YSM National Convention, Bhopal. As I recollect how the Conventional dream became a reality started in a small discourse with the National Chaplain! It still flashes in my mind and I could still remember that it was October 2010, after participating in the VIII National Youth Convention of ICYM in Shillong, Fr Charles came back to the National Office and told me, “We too need a convention for YCS YSM”. The sands of time flowed steadily and it was 2013, after the NYC Jalandhar, Fr Charles expressed, “What do you say Leo, We should have one right?” And WE HAD ONE!!!

Thank God, I am still a Bachelor

It’s a spring time, green everywhere, flowers pouring down like rain drops. The sun slowly peeping out to give its attendance to the world. How lucky am I to walk along the lonely road with my lady love with just two days for our holy matrimony. The much awaited day arrived and our two hearts started to beat as one and in the days and my better half was lying beside me holding my hands and placing her head above my chest to hear her heart beat. Everything looks like a dream come true to me and meanwhile I opened my eyes. The time is 2.30 am and I went back to sleep with a relief saying, “Thank God, it’s just a dream and I'm still a bachelor”.

Tears are Beautiful

If you would call a place, with four walls, scattered clothes, dislocated things a room then I was sitting in my room. Gladinaa my 3 year old cute cousin was comfortably sitting in her mother’s lap slowly sneaked to my room, came right in front of me and I could hear her saying “vada”. She still remembers it which she ate the previous day. Gradually her request turned into an order and ended with a loud cry: “vathaa”. Without knowing what to do, I gave her a piece of ‘Jangery’. I very well knew that she would love it, but my assumption ended in smoke and the sweet landed right on my face. After a few seconds of silence we heard the loud cry again, saying “vathaa”. We all laughed looking at her innocence and her tears are beautiful.
